Spotlight on Brown County 4-H Members: Achievements and Accomplishments
Brown County 4-H members have continually impressed us with their dedication, hard work, and achievements. These young individuals are not only excelling in their respective projects but also making a difference in their communities.
Academic Excellence
Four H members, Emily Jones and Thomas Smith, have recently been recognized for their academic achievements. Emily, a seventh-grader at North Brown Middle School, was awarded the Presidential Academic Achievement Award for her outstanding academic performance. Thomas, a senior at Brown County High School, was named the valedictorian of his graduating class.
Community Service
The community service project led by Brown County 4-H member, Samantha Davis, has been a great success. Her team, consisting of over thirty members, organized the annual “Clean Up Brown County” event. This initiative aims to keep our community clean and beautiful by picking up litter from local parks, roadsides, and waterways.
Animal Science
Brown County 4-H animal science projects have yielded excellent results this year. Members, such as Jake Johnson and Sophie Brown, have raised healthy, award-winning animals. Jake’s steer, named “Champion,” won the grand champion title at the county fair, while Sophie’s rabbit, “Fluffy,” earned the blue ribbon for best rabbit.
