Spotlight on Success:
The Brown County 4-H program continues to shine with the numerous achievements of its dedicated members. In this article, we’d like to highlight some of the outstanding accomplishments that have taken place within our community.
County Fair Successes
The Brown County Fair was a great success for our 4-H members. Several projects stood out, including those by Emily Thompson, who won first place in the baking competition with her famous chocolate chip cookies. Another impressive showing was from James Patel, who took home the blue ribbon in the woodworking category for his beautifully crafted wooden chair. These victories are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our youth.
State Competitions
Beyond the county fair, our 4-H members have also excelled at the state level. Maggie Lee, a talented member in the photography project, was recently named as one of the top three finalists at the state competition. Her stunning image of a sunset over Brown County Lake captured the hearts and minds of the judges. Meanwhile, William Johnson, who has shown great promise in the robotics project, represented our county at the state competition and finished in the top ten.
Community Involvement
Our 4-H members are not just successful in their projects, they also give back to the community. For example, the Brown County 4-H Cloverbuds recently organized a food-and-cooking/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>food
-and-cooking/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>food drive and collected over 500 pounds of food for the local food bank. This spirit of giving is a core value of our program.
Looking Forward
As we look ahead to the future, we are excited to see what new achievements our 4-H members will bring. With their passion, determination, and commitment to learning, there is no limit to what they can accomplish.
