Welcome back, NMU students! It’s great to have you all back on campus for another exciting semester. We have a lot in store for you this fall, so stay tuned for some important announcements and upcoming events.

Academics

First, let’s talk about academics. The Fall 2022 Semester has officially begun! Don’t forget to check your MyNMU portal for important course information, including syllabi and class schedules. If you need any academic support, remember that the Learning Commons is here to help you succeed.

Student Life

Now, let’s move on to the fun stuff! NMU has a jam-packed calendar of student life events this fall. On September 15, join us for the Fall Festival in the campus quad. There will be live music, food vendors, and fun activities for everyone! We’ll also have our annual Homecoming weekend on October 21-2This year’s theme is “Northern Pride.” Stay tuned for more details.

Campus Involvement

Getting involved on campus is a great way to make the most of your college experience. Check out our Student Activities Center website to find clubs and organizations that match your interests. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Start your own! We also have volunteer opportunities available through the NMU Student Volunteer Program.

Campus Resources

Finally, we want to remind you of the resources available to help you succeed at NMU. The Counseling Center offers individual and group therapy sessions, as well as crisis intervention services. The Disability Services Office is here to help ensure that all students have equal access to educational opportunities. And the Student Health Center provides a range of services, from primary care to mental health counseling.

Academic Calendar and Important Dates
